A rare offering from Gibson; the Echoplex Digital Pro (EDP for short) was designed at the beginning of the century by Oberheim and branded as Gibson for the electric-guitarist market.
The EDP is a looper/sampler in the vein of the Boomerang looper however with an incredibly easy interface and in the rack-unit format that offers crystal-clean repeats with plenty of hidden features. Honouring the Echoplex name (named after one of the most influential tape delay units of the 1960s, the micro-sampling side of the EDP can be used as a digital delay.
Favoured by the legendary sample-based guitarist David Torn as his primary sampler for a long time & is a mainstay in US band Battles' live rig. This is your one-way-ticket to sampled, glitchiness, reversed-guitar loopiness - pair it with synths or drums for some serious fun.
Up to 9 loops can be stored/recalled, with unlimited overdubs per loop. Loops can also be reversed. 50 seconds of loop time expandable to 200 seconds).
Made in UK by Oberheim.
Includes manual & 7 way footswitch. TRS cable is required for footswitch use. Not included however we do sell them.
